I read an article the other day and the Times radio referenced it - all about which bottle is best to order when you dine out!
Now this is a novel thought at the moment but with a light at the end of the tunnel!
Sone complete tosh about what bottle to order at the restaurant and all to do with the psychology of the buyer versus the seller and where the bottle is placed in the wine menu!
What absolute TOSH!
I couldn’t care if a bottle was placed on my knife and the other on my seat!
The best bottle should be down to correct pairing with your bwydens! (As previously mentioned - bwydens isn’t yet a legitimate word - it’s going to legitimately mean food in Welsh and hopefully added to the dictionary🙏🙏🙏- anyway enough twoddle - this posts about Tosh).
So the key to any restaurant visits you have coming up is to order your food first - then pair the wine!
People will want to splash the cash as we’ve apparently built up a wod with the last 12 months lockdown!
Maybe you have - but don’t go and order a really nice meal and ruin it with a pricey wine cause it’s 3rd from the most expensive - only people with no clue will do that!
My bottle tonight is on the pick and we will be having a suitable plate of bwydens to marry nicely!
This bad boy is a fantastic blended red and perfect for spicy food which is probably what we will be eating tonight!
At home I buy the wine then make the food!
If that don’t work I’ll finish the bottle then eat 😜😜😜
