My first exposure into the world of American wine with such vigour is April 2021!
Yes I’ve consumed USA wines before and enjoyed most of them - but April focus has opened up a world of wonder and so glad i opted to do it in April - leaving it longer would have meant missing out!
Wine is universal and an amazing drink on itself - with bwydens (my Welsh word for food which I intend to get included in the Welsh dictionary!!!) it takes it to another level.
The bottles I’ve had over the past few days are both from the Wente Vinyard.
The Zinfandel (the Italian Primitivo) was one of the best I’ve ever had!
The cab sav tonight is one I’m really looking forward too.
The food pairing will be nailed - not yet decided but will be apt!
My only concern would be how quick to get the liquid into the glass!
