An age old discussion - what’s the best fizz?!

Prosecco v Champagne v Cava

Feels like an European cup competition and one that could be also be seen as a social disaster?!

Whenever fizz is used it’s normally for a celebration and those stupid pointless glasses come out with hold hardly any wine and bubble over quicker than it takes to swap them for something more appropriate!

Tulip glasses are automatic when a bottle of bubbles is plonked and popped - why? Cause we automatically assume that the glasses are apt for the bottle and type of wine!

Thats just not the case.

The origin of the glasses are celebratory and limit the amount you can get into it - plus adds zero effect to the longevity of the said bubbles!

They look cool? - very matter of

opinion!!!

They take up less room on the tray and table?! - 100% - the best thing about them!

So try a normal white wine glass with a nice ample bulb and enjoy fizzy the same way as youd enjoy a crisp Chardonnay running smoothly out of a clear and chilled bottle - cause that’s exactly what champagne is!

So the beat of the fizzys - champers, Prosecco or cava?!

Gleta and Italy for me = Prosecco and 2 bottles I’ve found that rock the glass I swish them into!

I was asked Saturday what I’d prefer - I threw a daft comment and said a red one - then a scowl followed and a non verbal request for a sensible answer!!!

Ive added the bottles of my 2 favs plus a rose prosecco that is equal to a task and goes down a dream!

Great prices and for celebrations - 100%! But remember the appropriate glasses and ditch Those stupid tulips (preferably in the same bin as the latte glasses go - maybe I’ll blog of that next!!! 🙈🙈🙈)!
