If you're going to review and post bottles of wine on social media - you need to have some to start with.

I've been a member of the Wine Society for a few years and they are fantastic. Great range, excellent prices and the designated delivery slots cause zero issues - the delivery guys have common sense and leave them in appropriate place if we are out - not that it happens much these days!

South African wines are arguably my favoured and I've purchased a few crackers that ive had before - but also a few new ones.

The bottles in the picture will aid my cause over the coming weeks and a new order will be placed with another immense supplier located in Swansea - ND John wine merchants.

Not plugging these places just for the sake of it - but when you walk around tesco, Asda, Morrisons and co - you see the same old bottles with little thought of change.

Companies are continually going through change (part of my consultancy business is helping them to adapt and adopt) but when it comes to wine we stick to what we know.

Why? - human nature and also a fear of the unknown.

Im a maverick with things like this and I don't tend to live by any status quo - being different scars lots of people - like trying a new wine!

"I may not like it!" - that's correct.

You might also be drinking it with the wrong food which alters wine and it's appreciation hugely.

A friend messaged me once after his wife ordered an expensive bottle of champagne rose - they were eating steak and chips.

I asked what the wine was like and he said "bloody awful!" - now this is where the need to try and pair.

The wine wasn't awful - just with steak and chips (plus other things on the plate) did'nt work!

Food and wine = make it count and decide what you're eating first - then order the wine.

Time to venture out 🍷👍
