An excellent month - Wales won the rugby championship, I managed to end up watching the super rugby (but It cost me £35!) and I discovered, and also rediscovered some ace bottles of wine from France.

France is heavenly and touring the country in recent years has made it even better!

Would I live there ? - yes!

What will retirement bring? - maybe a pad there - don’t know yet.

It has huge appeal and that includes a gazillion locations to buy wine, cheese and the best bread ever!

Food pairing with wine is essential and as we come to the end of March I’ve posted 3 bottles that have shone.

We look and need versatility with wine - a good bottle and the wrong food - bin it!

An ok bottle and the right food - even if you can manage to find the foods made in the region the wine comes from - takes it to a whole new level!!!

As March ends - April and an extended weekend for fun and frolics appears!

I head west to America and the Nappa Valley!

California and the Nappa Valley have some damn fine wines.

The shelf team of Barefoot which is is available everywhere - just rock.

Ill be doing a full review this coming weekend of these corkers and trying to find the best American pairing available!
