I’ve got this Margaux for tonight and looking forward to it.
Cab sav blend and given they are close to Bordeaux I’d expect nothing else.
I read an article that a 50s vintage once sold for over £300,000 - and it wasn’t ready to drink yet!
Im not using swear words on the blog - but wtf!!!
Wine that isn’t ready to drink - sadly true and some bottles have exceeded that price!
Insane!
A funny article of 2018 when a group entered a fancy restaurant in Manchester and after ordering a bottle of red were given a £4500 bottle by mistake!
They claimed they only ordered a £200 bottle!
Now the thing is - the £4500 bottle isn’t 22.5 times better than the £200.
Or would it be than a £20 bottle.
The value is purely attributed to the scarcity and where it’s from!
There are insane prices on wines and if you can afford it then pay it!
Ive a friend of who collects wines and he knows his stuff - I want his cellar ffs (nearly swore again!)🙈🙈
A price tag doesn’t alter the taste - choose wisely and pair wisely!
The wines of the world are in the billions so you’ve plenty of choice!
I try to vary as much as possible and post as many different ones!
Tonights little helper is a cheap cousin of the Margaux - still from the region and quite possibly would taste equal or even better!
But it’s going to be slurped!!!😋😋😋🍷🍷🍷🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷 #wjhconsultancy
