Just sitting here and watching the super rugby via rugby pass - sky didn’t pay for the subscription.

Sydney v Hamilton (Tahs v Caines for the technical names) and reflecting back to the last time I was in Oz!

Hunter valley - bliss and the wines mega.

Perfect blends, hot off the press (vines) and the first time I’d ever tried a sparkling red.

Shiraz - or Syrah as most of the rest of the world call it.

The men from down under opted to call it a different name? - cause they can?

Well although the grape is generally one and the same - there’s a few differences.

Shiraz is fairly full bodied and a richer taste than the older worldly relative - compare a French Syrah to a down under Shiraz.

Most fizzy ones (red I mean) are made from Shiraz - and they work really well.

Ive tagged a pic of the Hunter valley and another fav of mine that my local rugby club has just filed the shelves with.

Half way through Australia May and loving their wines again.

I saw this on my shelf earlier when I was looking for tonight’s bottle - has to be.

Would be a crime not too!😜😜😜🥳🥳🥳🍷🇦🇺

ps - when you guy 19 crimes - download their phone app, launch it, hold the phone near the bottle and watch it tell you a story!

Genius - living wine👌
