Never have 2 wines been so similar yet so far apart!
The amazing Cabalie and a firm favourite of The Times and Laithwaites wine clubs - a differing name yet arguably the same company!
We had friends over on Saturday evening and was an absolutely immense night.
Yes the pergola isn’t finished yet (2nd version - a long story that isn’t for this or anything else now🙈🙈🙈 - please god finish it!!!) but we’ve made a cool dining area away from the patio!
Culminate that with Er Indoors (Jame - the wife) mega king prawn linguine👌👌👌
What better time to get the Cabalie white out for a slurp!
Voignier grape and I’m a fan - yes it’s blended but still a good start!
Disspointing and considering how high I rate the red!
Cabalie has a great reputation and even the rose hit the mark the last time i popped one.
But the white - not for me and I admit to not being a white fan - preference is the red and the odd fizzy!
But the choice is yours!
For a white - I’m a Loire Valley fan and the Vouvray - bendigedig - sparkling or still!
Event better in Amboise with a fish dish and a stunning riverside dining setting!
Memories - one of my fav places in France.
The shortest distance between good and bad is assuming a white stands up to the same standard as the red.
On this occasion it didn’t!
Red 👌👌👌🍷🥳🥳🥳
