Time and space

It’s been a few weeks since I’ve been able to post a blog!

Really had so much else to do and sort - the day job got hectic and is still hectic but a known hectic which means, as Whitesnake sang, ’here I go again!!!’.

Lifes taken me away from lots of things that needed to be on track - work life balance!

But it didn’t stop me from kicking a few things around and a weekend away with Er Indoors to London!

Now a bucket list is a good thing to consider and act on - why?! - why not?!

Anything that is an aspiration that can be done should be!

Claridges was the location!

Last weekend and a 2 night stay!

Ive posted the last 3 bottles I’ve consumed and each were damn nice!

All 3 have a place to be and a reason to drink!

1 red wine from Oz by Penfolds - a blended corker that just gets better with age.

We had the 2017 and was off the scale nice.

A great and top rated vintage (year of bottling!) that meant the bottle was a good price for what it was - mega!!!

Paired with my fish and the table of food 👌👌👌👌👌

Then we get to Claridges and the champagne of choice!

Actually the sommelier steered us towards it!

I was originally going for the Ruinart Blanc de Blanc which is a pure joyous slurp!

Ive had this before and as we were having their lobster special - a must!

Then Mr S came to me and bantered about the Pop Roger Winston Churchill would be a good un to help wash the food down!

He wasn’t wrong!!!

Blinkin eck it was good and well worth the punt!

Perfectly paired with the food courses and was an amazing colour!

Deep and rich - I’ll be buying more of these!!!

Then we come to the rizzy!

Sparkling red is known as a rizzy (you’ll see from previous blogs!).

I was told yesterday that they are wrong - sparkling reds are wrong!

I smiled - more for me then!

Im a firm believer and we had 3 of these last night (we had bwydens with friends) and they ticked the box - I need to buy more today!!!

Time and space rejuvenates the need to share these bad boys!!!
